self help hypnosis, anxiety self help Last week I went on the a "death march" hike with my very athletic sister, and had to use some self help hypnosis along the trail to not only keep up with her but to also negotiate the trail, which was steep, rocky, and mostly up or down hill. It was a long trail, and I found that the self help hypnosis techniques I learned a few years ago to control my fear of  heights helped me a lot in negotiating the steep grades and canyon walls that plunged straight down, with sharp spines on cacti ready to break my fall, should the worst happen. It was nine miles of rugged, anxiety producing, hiking, and we could not take many breaks in order to get out of their before dark.

Self help hypnosis is a good technique to have at your disposal for situations that create stress. Anxiety self help techniques are easy to learn, actually, and the comfort level that they will give you in situations where you feel absolutely no control or make you fearful can bring you through a tense situation intact. They are worth learning, and practicing.
