As a chronic anxiety sufferer, I can offer a few anxiety self help tips. Everyone is different. This said, methods that work well for someone else might not work well for you. Still, I've been able to control my anxiety with simple techniques, which may prove beneficial to you.
1. Stop Negative Thoughts: The biggest anxiety self help tip is to stop negative thinking. I always focus on the bad things in my life and ignore the good. Thus, I'll send myself into a state of worry. The mind is powerful. If you resolve to think happy thoughts and push out negative feelings, you'll feel better.
2. Stay Busy: Too much idle time can increase anxiety. When your mind isn't busy, you have too much available time to sit and worry. Staying busy is a great anxiety self help tip. Pick a new hobby, volunteer, read, or start a new project.
3. Mood Enhancers: Whether it's a natural supplement such as Happy Camper, or a prescribed medication such as Paxil or Zoloft, if the above anxiety self help tips provide little results, don't be afraid to take a mood enhancer.
